Abachi has been designed for educational and research institutions who want the advantages of managing data collections and treatment programs online.

It is an enterprise-grade, research-friendly content management system capable of collecting rich, SPSS-compatible data from a variety of web-based tools and delivering tailored, user-centric educational programs. It had its genesis in the development of Moodswings; an online intervention aide for the treatment of Bipolar Disorder which was built from the ground up in 2006 and brought our specialised knowledge and experience to the field of eTherapy. Since then we have delivered other successful eTherapy projects such as Anxiety Online, an Australian Government funded internet-based psychological assessment and treatment service for people with anxiety disorders.

Our solution gives researchers the ability to create questionnaires with sophisticated branching logic & eTherapy-oriented interactive tools, dynamic rule-based authorisation for delivering controlled online treatment programs, enhanced encryption layers for protecting sensitive medical data, and extensive tools for collecting and exporting data into native SPSS format. Every user interaction is recorded in a form that allows for sophisticated analysis of site usage patterns.

Scalable server hosting clusters are used to allow resource capacity to grow as the website user base expands. Virtualisation is used to segregate server roles into virtual machines, monitored via Cacti for real-time performance metric visualisation and analysis to identify and respond to bottlenecks. Virtualisation is also used to pair each virtual server with an identical twin, to provide high availability fail-over redundancy and load balancing.

Our websites are hosted in a world-class data centre, with redundant power and network infrastructure, climate control and physical security to protect the sensitive medical data they hold. Our servers are professionally managed by specialised hosting teams who provide 24/7 service and security monitoring, managed local and off-site backups, and incident response.
